Dear Families,

Wow.  I can't believe we only have a few days left of school.  I suppose time flies when you have an awesome class!  We had a busy week full of learning.  Students did a great job on being the teacher.  I'll be completing a small write up with some feedback from each lesson taught.  Look for those to come home on Tuesday.

We did a lot of reflecting on our learning this year by going through the first rocket math test, first writing prompt and our first math interim.  Today, students looked through the interim taken last week and compared it to the test (exactly the same test) they took the first week.  It was so great to see the smiles on their faces.  They also compared their first Rocket Math to yesterday's.  Again, lots of smiles on faces.  They should all be proud of how hard they worked this year.

Next week is short but busy.  Please send your child with a water bottle each day.  It's nice and warm out there, and we'll be spending a lot of time outside with Field Day and our field trip.  No school on Monday.  Field Day is Tuesday from 9-10:45.  Students can wear athletic wear.  Wednesday is our field trip, and students should wear college t-shirts and non-uniform bottoms.  Thursday is our last day of school, and students will finish strong with the CA uniforms.

As always, let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

We want to know what YOU think about our school.  We have the great opportunity to participate in a study that helps us collect and understand your opinion of the climate of our school.

This study will seek to establish the usefulness of the My Child’s Classroom Inventory-Short Form, a 25-item user-friendly survey designed to assess parents’/guardians’ perceptions of their child’s classroom environment.

As you know, we are a PBIS school and our desire is to continue to grow a positive and sustainable classroom environment. Your input is very valuable!

Non-identifying data gathered from the survey will be stored in a secure online environment. Information will be kept confidential and secure and only the people working with the study will have access to the data unless required by law.

This survey will only take 10-15minutes. We greatly appreciate you taking your time to do this!

**A reminder for parents dropping students off in the mornings... If you need to come into the school with your child in the morning, ALL parents should enter through the main office regardless of the reason for their visit and check in with the front desk.  You will need to have a visitor's pass when in the building.  Thank you.
